Upgrading from Mailing List v5.1.3 to Mailing List v5.1.4

Install sitecore mailinglist 5.1.4-sc5.1_upgrade.zip package if you use Sitecore CMS V5.1.1 or sitecore mailinglist 5.1.4-sc5.2_upgrade.zip package if you use Sitecore CMS V5.2. Select the 'Merge All' option for Sitecore items if prompted.

When prompted, select the overwrite option for the following files:

Sitecore.MailingList.dll
ListsPage.xml
OutboxPage.xml
SentPage.xml
SubscribersPage.xml

Do not ovewrite the following file:

genericmail.xslt

Note : If you have changed the rendering for the mail pattern you must change the genericmail.xslt file.

Replace this line in the file,

“<base href="http://localhost"/>”

with this line,

“<base href="http://{sc:fld('PublishDomain', $ml_module_settings)}"/>”

This fixes incorrect links to images in received emails.

Upgrading from Mailing List v5.1.2 to Mailing List v5.1.3

To upgrade from Mailing List v5.1.2 to Mailing List v5.1.3, install the package and choose overwrite when prompted.

Upgrading from Mailing List v5.0.1.6/v5.0.2.3 to 5.1.1

Follow the steps below to upgrade to the latest version of the module:

Backup your databases.
Install the patch package. Choose 'Overwrite All' every time when prompted.
Make changes in your Mailing List database: Change field size of the Country field in Subscribers table to 50 characters.
If you use MS Sql Server as the MailingList storage base, you should modify the connection string setting in the ConnectionString field of the following Item: Sitecore » All Applications » Mailing List Module » Settings. The string should be: user id=sa;password=12345; initial catalog=mailinglist;data source=server; Connect Timeout=30

Upgrading from Mailing List v5.0.1.6/v5.0.2.3 to 5.1.0

Follow the steps below to upgrade to the latest version of the module:

Backup your databases.
Install the patch package. Choose 'Overwrite All' every time when prompted.
Make changes in your Mailing List database: Change field size of the Country field in Subscribers table to 50 characters.

Upgrading from Mailing List v5.0.1+ to v5.0.1.6

Follow the steps below to upgrade to the latest version of the module:

Backup your databases.
Backup content Items which contain custom settings before installing the package.
Install the package. Choose 'Overwrite All' every time when prompted.
It is recommended to remove the newly installed content Items and restore the old items and a database which contain custom settings.
